A mentally-unstable Hank Pym, now assuming the identity Yellowjacket, has taken Jan, the Wasp, away from the Avenger’s mansion, to his secluded laboratory. While the Yellowjacket denies that he is the man Hank Pym was, Jan still believes that the man she loves is not gone and tries to talk him into remembering.
Despite the new facade, Hank’s affections for Jan still exist. Jan decides to marry the Yellowjacket out of love and to help save Hank’s sanity. The wedding turns into “a public spectacle”, and much to the disapproval of the Avengers, especially Captain America.
Among the guests invited are the Fantastic Four, Spiderman, Dr Strange, and the X-Men. Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Beast, Angel and Iceman can be seen mingling. Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D. are monitoring the security.
The Circus of Crime crashes the party. Princess Python hides her python in the wedding cake. As Jan cuts the cake, the python is unleashed and attacks.
