Years later, going through Kraven’s belongings, Spiderman stumbles upon detailed case files of DNA samples of the original five X-Men. The samples were taken years earlier during their fight against Kraven and the Blob. Spiderman seeks out the current X-Men, thinking that his find might lead the X-Men to Mr Sinister, since Kraven had connections.
After crawling through multiple sewers and fighting off the Marauders, the X-Men and Spiderman find Mr Sinister's lab where he had been trying to clone the original X-Men from the DNA samples, but failed. The X-Men and Spiderman destroy the vacant lab.
